Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) was established on 17 July 1991 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Yayasan Pelaburan Bumiputra (YPB). For more than three decades, PUNB has served as a catalyst for Bumiputera entrepreneurship, channelling financing and structured business support to enterprises across the retail, distributive and manufacturing sectors.
Since 2018, PUNB has operated under the purview of the Prime Minister's Department, reinforcing its mandate as a national agent of inclusive economic growth. This positioning allows the corporation to align its programmes closely with the country's broader development agenda and Bumiputera empowerment priorities.
Structure & Leadership
PUNB is governed by a Board of Directors that sets the institution's strategic direction and ensures sound corporate governance. Day-to-day operations are led by an experienced Management team, supported by specialist divisions spanning investment, entrepreneur development, risk, compliance and corporate services.
